To this day, the Foundation has raised over $100,000 for local charities and organizations. These proceeds have been used to fund a Grant for the Mansfield Education Foundation, and have also been used in support and funding of the new expansion of the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center's Labor and Delivery wing. Finally, the Foundation has distributed over 1,000 bicycles to underprivileged children to encourage health through physical activity.
The signature fundraising event of the Foundation is the Miles For Meredith Race, which is held annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. As part of this event, students of elementary and intermediate schools are encouraged to participate through The Methodist Mansfield Mad Dash for Cash, which awards schools with the most runners.
One final award is presented to the school with the most teacher and staff participation. Mary Jo Shepard Elementary has won in 2011 & 2012, and was given a luncheon provided by the Foundation, and catered by the Ben Barber Career and Technology Center.
